Ministry of Health & Prevention, UAE has now decided to issue birth certificates via Facebook-owned WhatsApp. The initiative took place on GITEX Global 2021 Event.The decision is made to enrich customer experience by offering them absolute convenience and flexibility that will based on advanced systems and internationally accepted best practices.
Samir Al Khouri, Director of IT Department, MoHAP said that the service has been launched keeping in mind the growing use social media platforms and the ease at which things can be delivered to public using such social media platforms. This also comes as a part of Ministry’s efforts to deliver fast and effective services to public for which they don’t have to struggle a lot.
The Ministry said that it will also launch a new feature that will be based on Artificial Intelligence to respond to customers’ inquiries through a virtual assistant. This virtual assistant will analyze and evaluate customers’ need based on the data available for them and then make a decision on how to respond to their requirements and needs. It will also be able to distinguish registered users and the interaction will be based on the information available for them, retrieving stored data from their profile and then end the conversation in an interactive manner.
Apart from getting birth certificates, the Ministry has also designed a number of facilities and smart applications to facilitate access to the government policies and benefits. The UAE government is making huge efforts to implement digitalization on ground level and this is just an inception of bringing ease to people’s lives.
