Jeremy Doutte, the vice president of Talabat in the UAE, spoke at a hybrid event recently. There he outlined how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the field of online food delivery business, showing a path to develop with a new and fresh concept. He said that “the cloud kitchen model is the future which will support the UAE’s business ecosystem.” He also added that it is much clear to all that this COVID-19 pandemic has been a massive stimulant of transformed consumer behavior. However, even in this pandemic situation, they noticed different consumers’ behaviors that influenced the online food delivery trade. The development in q-commerce specifically is something that they have never seen before this situation.
This concept of cloud kitchen is a delivery-only venture, come up with no dine-in facility, serving restaurants a time and cost-effective way to complete a bigger volume of orders.
