Samsung is reportedly working on the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, its cheapest 5G offering yet. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is going to succeed the Galaxy A12 that launched in November last year, but that was a 4G device. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is expected to be priced under 200 euros ( ₹17,300 approx) which will make it Samsung’s cheapest 5G offering yet. Given that access to 5G has become more widespread thanks to companies like Xiaomi and Realme, Samsung too is hoping to cash in and come up with some affordable 5G smartphones as well.
As per a report from the Galaxy Club, Samsung’s Galaxy A13 5G has the model number AM-A136B and will have 5G support. The report also states that the Galaxy A13 5G might be announced around November this year and considering that the Galaxy A12 was launched around the same time last year. However, before one gets too excited it would be good to note that Samsung has not officially announced anything about a new Galaxy A-series phone with 5G connectivity and a cheap price point.
Currently, Samsung’s cheapest 5G offering is the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G in India. The Galaxy A22 5G was launched in July last year at a starting price of ₹19,999. The Galaxy A22 5G has the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood, a 90Hz 6.6-inch full HD+ Infinity-V display, it also has a triple rear camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
