The Google Pixel mobile phones are known for their expensive range except the 3A and 4A which it launched at affordable price sets. Now, it is that time of the year again when Google announces its affordable smartphone of the year and despite rumours that the company had cancelled the Pixel 5a this year, it looks like it could very well be launched and that too later this month, according to a leakster.
The leak says that Google may launch the upcoming Pixel 5a device on August 26. This was revealed in a recent report by FrontPageTech, which itself cites a source familiar with the matter. This comes just days after Google actually confirmed the publication’s leaks of the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro mobile phones, which are expected to launch in the coming months.
The report states that the Pixel 5a will be powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB of RAM, and a 4650mAh battery. It is expected to come with a 6.4-inch screen that refreshes at 90 Hz. The device is unlikely to support wireless charging. It is expected to sport the same camera as the Pixel 5 from 2020, and a headphone jack. It could also come with an IP67 rating, according to the report. Readers will note that these specs largely match those of another Pixel 5a leak that was revealed in February.
